Get to Know Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist in Weldon Spring, Missouri. I have worked with children and families since 2007 in a variety of settings including schools, the child welfare system, and community mental health. I received my undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Saint Louis University in 2006. I earned my Master's Degree in Social Work from UMSL in 2012. I strongly believe that all children and families have inner strengths to pull from when life gets hard.
I see children from all backgrounds and use a variety of creative, play-based approaches to help improve relationships, develop coping skills, and solve problems. I have experience with trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, educational issues, grief, and family changes (divorce, blended families, foster/adoption, etc.). I see children from three to teenagers.
I have obtained extensive training in the following therapeutic modalities:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
Theraplay
Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Child Centered Play Therapy
I truly care for all of my clients, and work diligently to help find them the answers they seek. Since 2000, I have worked with a variety of patients dealing with circumstances that are unique to their lives.
